What are company year end dates?

Company Year end dates, also known as the Accounting Reference Date (ARD) is the date upto which a company's financial accounts are prepared every year. ARD is usually the end of a particular year. This day is normally taken as the last day of the month in which the incorporation anniversary of the company falls. For example, if the incorporation of a company was on 25th September, its ARD will be the 30th of September.
